Now, this is important to pay attention to: guards at\nentrances were effective because<\/strong> they got your attention and call you to\naction, NOT because they were holding hand rub. \nIt\u2019s about the activity, not the supplies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Now, it\u2019s 2020. This\npast December there was an outbreak of a new, deadly type of Coronavirus. We called it COVID-19, and unlike SARS it\nbecame a major worldwide pandemic, one that didn\u2019t affect just hospitals but\nchanged how we shop, bank, and take the train. \nWhat did we see happen in regards to infection prevention at facility\nentrances this time?<\/p>\n\n\n\n First guards (staff) were placed at entrances to ensure hand hygiene practices were followed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Next, that proved costly and took up valuable staff time, so\nthey were replaced with self-serve hand gel pumps, often just placed on a\ntable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Then, of course, the simple stands<\/a> started to come out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n You can see where this is going. For some reason, society keeps looking at hand hygiene as a supply problem, when it\u2019s really a behavioural one. Putting hand gel out there doesn\u2019t work on its own, and never will.<\/p>\n\n\n\n That’s why our Tagg Clean-Hands\u00ae Sanitizing Stations work.
